Sports, skiing and travel

Meet Natalie Salters!

Natalie had always had a passion for “doing.”Between her family and friends, there is always something keeping her busy. One of her favorite things to do is travel. If there is a trip at plan,  guarantee she will be a part of it. She spent extensive time in California growing up because her father was from there and actually moved back to California and lived in Santa Monica for a couple years.

Her favorite things to do while traveling out of state range from the beaches all the way to the mountains. Skiing had been a hobby her and her dad picked up after finding out there was a military discount on the Epic Pass, which granted them unlimited mountain access to all of their locations. This included two of their favorite resorts, Dodge Ridge in California and of course Keystone In Colorado. Although she loves the snow, she will never be opposed to a quick trip down to Port Aransas, which her and her best friends established their mark for all of their Spring Break and Fourth Of July trips. Hiking has also been a huge recreational therapy for Natalie. She values vitamin D and a good challenge, so the literal blistering trails of Yosemite and even her local lake park suit her just fine.

During her time at Blinn College, Natalie studied Kinesiology which was a passion of hers after her experience as an athletic trainer for her high school. After extensive thinking, she suggested the idea of psychology which seemed more suitable for her utter fascination with failed marriages. Haha…(her parents). After officially transferring to Texas State, she finally decided to follow a more realistic education path and took up a major in Journalism and Mass Media. She loves to talk and write so it seemed more suitable. She discovered she liked it and even followed up with a minor in Sports Media. Natalie’s ultimate goal is to graduate and receive a bachelors. She figured that as indecisive and unsure as she is, she might as well open doors to more opportunities that she may find suitable. She has interest in sideline reporting because of her love for sports and networking opportunities.

However, she still tests her limits by navigating new opportunities that may spark interest. As she considers all paths, she wants to focus mainly on her schooling and work in hope to succeed.
