Lake Tahoe : Days 1 and 2 "The Lodge"

Our trip to Lake Tahoe got off to a great start as soon as we landed I gambled $20 on the slot machines and lost it all within 1 minute.
Aftyer that we got to check out our cabin which we now call “The Lodge” because it just sounds way more official. The place is huge and honestly pretty insane. Me and Austin spent some time playing pool and while exploring we discovered that our bathroom has its own sauna which was one of the coolest surprises of the day. For dinner we went to Base Camp Pizza where I ordered a margarita and ended up eating four slices. By the time we left I felt like I was about to burst. After dinner we walked around the area and checked out some of the pop up shops. It was cool getting to see everything and take in the atmosphere of Tahoe.
Day two was even better. We left The Lodge around 10 a.m. and headed to our first activity which was a scenic cruise through Emerald Bay. It was honestly one of the most beautiful tours I’ve ever been on. The water was unbelievably blue and I learned that it is around 1,000 feet deep. I was able to capture a ton of footage for my upcoming Instagram reels and even grabbed a few spontaneous interviews with tourists for my e-bike story. After the boat tour we explored several viewpoints around Emerald Bay State Park and gathered even more content.
We decided to hike down to Vikingsholm summer home located about a mile from the parking area. The house was amazing considering it was built in only five and a half months. Many of the carvings and details around the property were handmade which made it even more impressive. Our tour guide gave us the full story of Lora Moore Knight, the woman who built the estate and it was really interesting to learn about its history.
The hike back up was definitely the worst part of the day but it was worth it. On our way back to The Lodge we stopped at Whole Foods to grab dinner. Let’s just say their hot food section probably won’t be getting another chance from me anytime soon. Once we got back we watched the Spurs vs. Knicks game while we ate and relaxed. Now I’m sitting here fat, happy, and ready to jump in the hot tub before calling it a night. Tomorrow is a beach day, and after everything we’ve done so far, I super excited for our next adventures. Also Dale was able to pet 12 dogs today. Yes, everyone counted.
